What a weekend! Dad came down to visit on Thursday stayed through Saturday and was able to see Austin's play on Friday night. Saturday my Aunt Lana and her daughter Leanne were down to watch the play and we had a wonderful visit with them. It sure was good to see them all. Austin did a great job and I should be able to get some pictures up soon.
Jordan had another competition on Saturday and her team wasn’t able to make a top finish this time. She did show us her bruised nose though, a result of her flag hitting her. Austin told her that she should catch it sooner - sound advice.
Friday, Heidi and I went to the optometrist, and for the first time I needed glasses for reading. Yep I feel old, but at least I can read now. Oh well…
Some folks have asked us about the coyote we’ve had behind our house. We haven’t seen him lately – and that’s ok with us.

Congrats to JORDAN! Saturday her color guard team placed first in her tournament! Way to go - we're all so proud of you.
Bears....pffffttt....

Thank you Aunt Sherry for the package! It was very exciting to get all of the family items. I will get them up on the site just as soon as I am able - I've already got Charles Koontz's obituary up. Thanks again for your help, and I know that the other family members will enjoy the items as well. Love ya! (Yeah, I'll probably stop haunting you now)

Well my buddy John came through with an extra playoff ticket so we're going to THE GAME! I know before the wild card it was almost impossible for the Bears and Packers to match up in the post season - but 70 years? That's unreal. GO BEARS!

Well I apologize if you were on the site today and had some issues. I was doing some rearranging and housekeeping. Under the Census Views, I have put in the transcribed text. You can still view the entire census by clicking view image beneath the table. I hope this helps. Anyway, the site is getting bigger and I had to clean some things up before it got out of hand. Hope you are enjoying it as much as I am.
Oh, and we had company behind the house today…

Sure hope the dog doesn't get into it.

My father got in touch with Roger Koontz who is the son of Wayne Koontz. He sent me a photo for the site that I hadn't seen before - it is under Charles Koontz. Thank you Roger, and it was really great to hear from you.

HERE WE GO!
Well both teams made it over the weekend and it should be a great game. I still can't believe that the Patriots are out - who would've thought? Anyway one of our teams is going to the Super Bowl and that's awesome!

Went and saw Jordan perform tonight at the local high school basketball game – she did AWESOME! Afterwards I called her and she said that she was just really happy that she didn’t make any mistakes. You can check out her performance by clicking HERE. (She's the blonde in the center) Great job Jordan and we’re all really proud of you.

Genealogy – I’ve been working on Henry and Josephine Guthrie as of late, Aunt Donna has been providing a lot of help. I also have talked with dad and it seems that he’s been busy tracking down his cousins, I’m really anxious to hear all that he’s found.

Well today is a lot of ones! Just got done (for now) shoveling, but at least it's warm. Sorry about the issues on the photo page. It seems that some folks can see them and some can't but I'll keep at it and sometime I'll get it right - It's hard dealing with all the different types of internet explorers out there. Anyway, keep checkng back often as I'm adding to the family pages all the time. I have a lot of stuff to put up and it takes time. Hope you are enjoying it all.
By the way - I lost a dollar to Fred on the game last night. The Oregon coaches should all be fired. That's all I have to say about that.

Tough to watch the game today. Fred and I didn't know who to root for. Since the Packers won, it would be pretty cool to see a Bears - Packers NFC Championship.
Been great that Kathy is working on finding a spot to get the family together, it would be really nice to see everyone. It's been a long time since Kentucky Lake. |
