Roy was born December 16th, 1897 in Roodhouse, Illinois. He was the son of John Whitworth and Etta Jane Pollard. Roy married Ethel Olive Wallace, June 22nd, 1918 in Carrollton, Illinois. He worked for the GM&O railroad and retired as a switchman.He and Ethel had three daughters and helped raise Gordon Nash. Ethel passed away December 21st, 1971. Roy passed on January 8th, 1978.
